Understanding the Finality of Academic Conferral

Last Updated: January 15, 2026

Important: Finality of Degree Conferral

Degree conferral is a permanent institutional action. Once conferred, your credential is registered in the Life Seminary Archives and becomes part of the official academic record. A conferred degree cannot be reversed. Please review your enrollment carefully before completing the process.

Understanding Academic Conferral

At Life Seminary, degree conferral is a formal institutional action by which the seminary recognizes and certifies a candidate's demonstrated competency. This recognition is permanent and becomes part of the seminary's official academic archives.

The integrity of our academic records requires that once a degree is conferred, it remains a permanent part of our institutional history. Conferred credentials cannot be withdrawn, reversed, or reassigned.

Finality of Conferral

Irreversible Upon Conferral

  • 1
After Degree Conferral: Once your enrollment is complete and your verification code is generated, your degree has been officially conferred. This action is recorded in the Seminary Archives and cannot be reversed.
  • 2
After Credential Issuance: Once you receive your degree confirmation with your verification URL, the conferral is complete and your credential is permanently registered.
  • 3
Change of Mind: Refunds are not available for change of mind after conferral, including reconsideration of the selected major, degree type, or credential format. The academic record stands as conferred.
  • 4
Misunderstanding of Academic Model: Refunds are not available if you did not fully understand the nature of our competency-based credentials. Please review our Terms of Service before enrollment.

Eligible for Refund Consideration

  • 1
Technical Failure: If a technical error on our end prevents your credential from being generated or properly recorded, you are entitled to a full refund.
  • 2
Duplicate Enrollment: If you were charged multiple times for the same credential due to a processing error, we will refund the duplicate charges.
  • 3
Name Error (Within 24 Hours): If there is an error in your name on the credential due to our mistake, contact us within 24 hours for correction or refund.

Integrity of Academic Records

The permanence of degree conferral is not merely a policy—it is a matter of academic integrity. Every credential conferred by Life Seminary is recorded in our official archives and can be verified through our verification system.

Reversing a conferral would compromise the integrity of our academic records and the verification system that employers, institutions, and other parties rely upon. This is why we ask all candidates to carefully consider their enrollment before completing the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a refund if I entered my name incorrectly?

If you made an error entering your name, contact us within 24 hours. We may be able to issue a corrected credential or provide a refund depending on the circumstances.

What if I didn't receive my degree confirmation email?

First, check your spam/junk folder. If you still can't find it, contact us and we'll resend your credential. This is not grounds for a refund as the degree was successfully conferred and recorded.

Can I exchange my credential for a different major or degree type?

We do not offer exchanges. Each degree conferral is a separate institutional action recorded in our archives. If you wish to pursue a different credential, you would need to complete a new enrollment.

Why can't a degree conferral be reversed?

Degree conferral is a formal institutional action that becomes part of our permanent academic record. The integrity of our archives and verification system depends on the permanence of every conferred credential.

How long does it take to process a refund?

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days and returned to the card that was charged, in the same amount received. You will receive a refund confirmation by email once it is initiated; how quickly the credit appears on your statement is set by your bank.

What if I paid but never started the assessment?

If you completed payment but have not yet begun your competency assessment, you may be eligible for a full refund. Contact our support team with your enrollment details and we will review your case promptly.
